What I Got: There once was a time when I thought I hated donuts and considered them to be absolutely horrendous. A waste of calories. I’ve now been to The Salty Donut about three or four times and each time I am delighted with a new reason to love donuts. Their menu consists of year round flavours as well as their seasonal flavours. Year round flavours that I’ve tasted include Traditional Glazed, Guava + Cheese and Homemde Hazelnut Chocolate. Some of my faves so far have been seasonal hits such as Cookies & Cream, Chocolate Glazed, Father’s Day Special and the Mini Fig + Apple Butter.
Reason to Go: Two words. Artisan donuts. If that’s not enough, not only is the spot located in the heart of Wynwood, but they also have indoor and outdoor seating availible to customers who desire to sit and enjoy their donut. The mission of The Salty Donut is simple: to provide people with MORE than just the best donuts and coffee possible. Do they succeed? With two locations alone in Miami, and another opening soon in Dallas, Texas, the answer is yes. My suggestion is to go with a friend so you can order a couple of donuts of different flavours to split!
