What We Got:“Soft Scrambled” consisting of a soft scrambled egg, avocado, brie cheese on a toasted potato brioche bun. The next sandwich was a must try: the “EBLT” as the name suggests was a [crispy] bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich with fried eggs. From the “Sweet Thang” part of the menu, we were surprised by the owner with an order of fresh beignets for the table.
Reason to Go: Not only is it located in Wynwood, but Laid Fresh serves all-day breakfast and brunch. With a fun menu and a variety of sandwich options to choose from, it’s the perfect pop-in, sit down joint for any foodie. The food is more than just “Instagrammable” too: it actually tastes good. After we placed our orders, we were shortly transported to every breakfast-lovers dream: fluffy eggs, crispy bacon and soft brioche buns. They offer gluten-free options, a selection of salads, homemade beignets and a wide array of sides to spice up any order. But what’s a good brunch without the booze? Laid Fresh joins the happy hour crew with a 2pm-5pm daily happy hour menu with choices like a “Mug of Mimosa,” draft beer, “Rotating Can Specials” (check IG for updates) and other fun drink options. Although the eatery has only been open about two months now, it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser.
